What is Conventional Assembly?

Conventional Assembly

We are excited to share with you the latest video in our series all about Conventional Assembly.

Conventional Assembly, is the assembly of the circuit board before it is ready for the final assembly. Our operators are trained to the highest standard and we have facilities for two assembly lines involving solder wave machines and soldering by hand.

This video showcases our team of highly trained solder operators who are responsible for the intricate work of creating circuit boards. Our Operations Manager, Mark Thorman explains our methods and capabilities that we possess in conventional assembly that allow us to create even the most complex of solutions with speed and accuracy.

Irridian Invests in New Printed Circuit Board Design Software Suites

Op Manager - Circuit Board

Recently acquired by Hindley Circuits, Irridian Industrial Electronics, the electronic design services business is now located within our Cramlington manufacturing facilities.

We are delighted to announce that Irridian has recently invested in introducing state-of-the-art PCB design software to significantly enhance the accuracy and speed of its design services.

The new Cadstar and Altium design software platforms have modern and interactive user interfaces. The cutting-edge design software platforms will allow us to design complex multilayered Printed Circuit Boards while also incorporating high speed design requirements.

Both the Cadstar and Altium platforms allow all aspects of the PCB design cycle to be addressed – right from schematic capture and PCB layout through to documentation and simulation – meaning that our PCB designers can be seamlessly connected to all elements of the design process. We have already seen the benefits of this thanks to a rapid increase of speed and accuracy across the whole process.

We have been greatly impressed by our existing customers interest in Irridians design services and look forward to sharing with them the benefits that the new software will bring to our service offering. We are currently looking to hire an additional experienced PCB Designer in the very near future.
